Dr. Perry Ormiston specializes in orthodontics for children, teens and adults. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University, he attended the University of Southern California where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree, graduating with honors. He continued his education at the University of Washington where he received his certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree and now holds an affiliate faculty position.
Dr. Ormiston has been practicing orthodontics since 2003. A published author, he has had articles featured in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Ormiston’s honors include the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Achievement Award, the Alpha Omega Dental Society Achievement Award, the J. Walter Reeves Memorial Award for scholastic achievement and the Robert W. McNulty Memorial Award for scholastic achievement. Additionally, he has been inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a prominent dental honors society. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists and is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association and the Pierce County Dental Society.
Dr. Ormiston is a third generation Washington native and resides in Puyallup with his wife and their two daughters. He is a sports enthusiast who enjoys running, hiking, playing soccer, skiing and rooting for the Cougars, Huskies and Trojans.
