My profession allows me to interact with a large number of my fellow community members on a daily basis. Many are my friends and neighbors, and I treat them that way! I love creating beautiful smiles in my hometown, and cherish the relationship I have with our patients and their families.
My team and I do our best, not only to do a fantastic job creating beautiful smiles, but also to be the best part of the day for every patient we see. We love improving smiles because it can have such a huge impact on people’s self-esteem and confidence.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor’s degree – Washington State University
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Southern California
- Master of Science in dentistry / orthodontic certification – University of Washington
Not only is continuing education a legal requirement for maintaining a dental license, but it is the only way to ensure that I am using the latest and most effective treatment modalities. As a board-certified orthodontic specialist, I regularly take two to three times the required number of CE hours through participation in local study club meetings, national society meetings, and the American Association of Orthodontists.
- American Association of Orthodontists
- American Board of Orthodontists
- Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists
- Washington State Society of Orthodontists
- Pierce County Dental Society
Family and Community
My wife and I have been married for 22 years, and we have two daughters. We also have a cat, a dog, and two fish. When I’m not at work, I’m usually spending time with my family: running, skiing, cycling, or rooting for the Cougars, Trojans, and Huskies.
I am proud to live and work in the Puyallup community. Doing great work and treating people well is very important to me because my patients are also my friends and neighbors. My team and I are committed not only to providing excellent treatment, but also to being outstanding members of the community.
